Teacher of IT/Computer Science

At the King Edmund School, we are in a bold new chapter. With our new school building that opened in September 2025, an aspirational student body, and a new Headteacher at the helm, we are seeking to appoint a full-time Teacher of IT/Computer Science from 01 September 2026.

The Role

We’re looking for an exceptional Teacher of IT/Computer Science to join our thriving team at The King Edmund School. If you have the drive to spark curiosity, instil digital confidence, and empower young people to achieve their potential in a rapidly evolving technological world, we’d love to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For

  • A degree, or equivalent experience, with a teaching qualification
  • Deliver dynamic, engaging IT/Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5, if applicable)
  • The ability to work in collaboration with other members of staff to further the department
  • Play a key role in developing our IT/Computer Science curriculum and extra-curricular activities
  • Exceptional personal organisation and time management skills
  • A firm understanding of key national and educational policies and issues
  • The ability to inspire high achievement in young people from all backgrounds
  • A clear commitment to improving your own and others’ performance through effective continuous professional development
