The aim of having a Sixth Form dress code is to encourage Sixth Form students to dress appropriately for the school environment, now that they no longer need to wear school uniform.
Sixth Form students form part of the adult community at KES and as such are expected to dress accordingly. Alongside the freedom of choosing what to wear comes a responsibility to act as role models to the younger students. A student’s appearance is not only important in maintaining high standards but is also good preparation for the world of work - where appropriate dress is an expectation.
