Applications are welcomed from students in Year 11 across Essex and Southend. We also take students in Year 12 who wish to transfer from their current provider.
Students who are currently at KES and wish to join the Sixth Form complete their applications in the second half of the Autumn Term. We hold informal meetings with all students and parents between November and January where we discuss post 16 options available to them. Application forms for entry into our Sixth Form need to be completed at these meetings and a confirmation of a place is given at this point.
Students from other schools and colleges need to download and complete an external student application form - see downloads below. External students’ are then invited to an introductions event in February.
Final enrolment takes place each August on the day that students receive their GCSE results.
External students are given a buddy who will show them around for the first few weeks to help them acclimatise to the new environment. We pride ourselves on having a friendly and supportive Sixth Form and find that students settle really quickly.
