Staff Profile
Back to Our StaffI joined KES in 2007 as an Assistant Head, moving to Deputy Head two years later. I had always wanted to be a geography teacher since being bought an atlas at a very early age and am very proud of being able to have this opportunity.
I came into teaching as a result of being inspired as a child by a few of my own teachers who had made a big impact on my life. It was then when I discovered the impact that a teacher can have on a child’s future.
Having started my teaching career in Chelmsford and Great Dunmow, I moved into my first post at a school in Thurrock, moving later to a school in Westcliff and to one in Shenfield before moving to KES.
I studied Geography at Queen’s University Belfast and have a real passion for physical geography and natural science. Later, I went on to do a Masters degree in Education at the Institute of Education (UCL) and a few additional educational qualifications. I am passionate about life long learning and believe that teachers should never stop learning.
I believe that students should feel comfortable and well supported at school. When fully supported, students can go on to achieve their true potential and become well rounded individuals who are self-sufficient and can meet the demands of the workplace.
