Staff ProfileBack to Our Staff
I have worked at KES for over 15 years. I joined the school following completion of a degree in Sports Studies and a further PE teaching qualification. I started my career as a PE Teacher, then moved to a KS3 PE Co-Ordinator role, before becoming more pastorally focused as a Head of Year. I had planned to stay at KES a couple of years before moving on, but life does not always turn out as you expect and in actual fact I have been at KES my entire qualified teaching career.
The community spirit from the students, staff and their families, was, and still is, an overwhelming factor in my decision to stay here - KES has just felt like ‘home’ for me from the moment I arrived. My drive and hope for our students is that they feel the same way as I do about the school as they transition through their education with us.
I am now an Assistant Head working as the Pastoral Lead for KES. I am thrilled and excited to work with the students, their families and staff at school. I still teach some PE, but my day to day work surrounds the pastoral care for the students and community.
