Post 16 Transport
Stephensons of Essex operate a network of bus services (numbered 806-813) to KES. Full timetables are available on the Stephensons website.
They offer termly passes for 2021-2022 which can be purchased via their website using a debit or credit card.
The school will subsidise £225 towards the cost which can be claimed back at £75.00 per term.
If you wish to take advantage of this cheaper option, please make full termly payment directly to Stephensons on their website, link below. In order to claim the subsidy from KES you will then need to complete the application form below and send it into school together with your receipt from Stephensons showing proof of purchase. The school will then arrange to make BACS payments directly into parent’s bank accounts. Please note that reimbursements for the new academic year cannot be made until September after we have closed our current financial year.
16 to 19 Bursary Fund
The 16 to 19 Bursary Fund provides financial support to help students overcome specific barriers to participation so they can remain in education.
There are two types of 16 to 19 bursaries:
Bursaries for defined vulnerable groups of up to £1,200 a year
Discretionary bursaries which institutions award to meet individual needs, for example, help with the cost of transport, meals, books and equipment
The needs of individual students are assessed according to the criteria set out in the application form when awarding bursary funding.
